This Sunday we are happy to host the event with @triarchypress authors who also happen to be our garden members and friends.

You may have met @clarequalmann in our garden whilst on a mission to look after and running our hot composting project and team! Clare co-authored ‚Ways to wander’ - an ‚invitation to consider (and try for yourself) some of the many different ways to wander. It includes 54 proposals, ranging from the geographically specific to the generally located, produced by artists involved with the Walking Artists Network.’

And @howtobeferal will talk about and invite you to movement practices to re-wild your body.

Our “Garden of Earthly Delights” Signage is complete! ⚡️

That’s old news you say? True true.
But with our upcoming open day (tomorrow!), we just wanted to remind you what can come out of a day like that!

On our last open day, many many hands created those letters out of scrap wood, broken furniture, bamboo cut offs and painted them according to their taste and our limited paint supplies.

And the outcome is a colourful, collectively created beauty, just like the garden itself. ❤️

Thank you everyone for making this happen!
And make sure to come to our open day this Saturday. We might not make any more letters, but certainly a lot of juice this time. 🍏🍐🍎

Let’s gather together for some seasonal celebration, enjoying garden harvest turned into communally cooked and shared food, and appreciating nature’s gifts with apple pressing and bonfire.

* 🗣️We are calling out for people in our area who have apple trees (and other fruit trees too) to share their fruit harvest with us.
* We are happy to send volunteers to help with picking up fruits. We will also welcome fruit donations before the day.  * Then on the day will gather by the table to cut them, crush and press for delicious juice that we could take home
* bring your bottles/jars (off course the quantities will depend how many fruits we will manage to collect)

Once again we are inviting @ketchurahskitchen to be our lead cook on the day joined by our volunteers. They will prepare delicious meals from our garden produce topped up with organic veg donation from Growing Communities.   😍

TIMINGS
2-5pm - gathering for harvest, food prep, pressing, and sipping garden tea 🥔🫑🫖
3pm - garden tour 👀
5pm - meal 🍲🥗🥙
6pm - bonfire and Equinox celebration 🔥🎻🪘(bring an instrument for jam session, a poem, an offering, anything you feel you’d like to share)

Hey! Do you or anyone you know have a fruit tree in their garden, and maybe those fruits are not always picked?

We would like to hear from you and help with picking and then processing on our communal event into delicious juice!

Brazilian artist Joana Quiroga @iamajoq joined us

Brazilian artist Joana Quiroga @iamajoq joined us in the garden on Thursday 15th August for a bread making workshop and conversation about her research and practice working with wheat and fermentation. We mixed and kneaded dough, found warm places for it to rise in the poly tunnel and the compost, and cooked it over the fire, before eating it with garden salad ✨🔥🥖🌾🌼

Thanks to the Woodshop of Recycled Delights, in addition to Saturdays, we’re now open every Wednesday throughout the summer.

Someone from the Woodshop will be at the Garden of Earthly delights with their tools for you to come and work on your projects, help us out, or just come and enjoy the space.

If you plan to come down, just check the WoRD Instagram (@woodshop_of_recycled_delights) for announcements, in case anything changes on the day.

Scrap timber available for free, or better quality stuff available for a small donation.

🪵 reclaimed timber sculptures
🐛 butterfly craft & caterpillar food planting

all welcome, all workshops are suitable for children (with an adult accompanying).

Equinox blessings all!

This Saturday we're welcoming Spring with a lil seed swap at the garden.

Seed swaps are a wonderful, rare space of non-capitalist exchange. Please bring surplus seeds to share, or (if you haven't got any) simply come along to collect a few packets to get you going (with gratitude to all the plant companions & seed savers for their work).

It's a lovely chance to start scheming & dreaming the growing season ahead.

Both collected & store-bought seeds are welcome!

The @freedomseedbank will be bringing a selection of delicious, London-grown seed varieties to share.

We have exciting plans for the garden this year! To get prepared we are going to have a spring clean on Sunday 17th March 12PM-5PM. We welcome any volunteers who would like to help us, even if it is just for an hour and we will be offering homemade soup to keep everyone going.
